Jackie Horton, widower of his loving wife of 54 years, Nettie Mae Sizemore Horton and the second son of Robert and Maude Brandenburg Horton was born in Beattyville, Kentucky on August 11, 1939 and departed this life at his home in Lexington, Kentucky on January 15, 2024 at the age of 84 years, 5 months, and 4 days. He retired from Johnson Control after 40 years as a welder.
Mr. Horton was the beloved father of his daughter, Leisha Dawn Horton of Lexington, Kentucky and the beloved granddad of his dog, Bailey Mae Horton. In addition to his daughter, he is survived by one sister, Terry Jo Booth and husband Charles of Leeco, Kentucky; two brothers, William Horton of Irvine, Kentucky and Donnie Horton and wife Tillie of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to his wife, Nettie and his parents, Robert and Maude Horton, Mr. Horton was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby Horton of McKee and Gary Horton of Beattyville.
