Obituary for Arvil Smith
Arvil Smith, son of the late Henry Clay Smith and Tina McIntosh Smith, was born in Owsley County, Kentucky on December 26th, 1933 and peacefully departed this life on December 4th, 2023 in Beattyville, Kentucky at the age of 89 years. He worked and retired from Wiser Oil Company in Lee County, Kentucky.
He leaves behind a loving wife of 71 years, Minnie Tirey Smith; two daughters, Kathy Smith Drake (Richard) and Brenda Smith Lucas (Phillip); 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Heneritta Long, Mary Lou Angel, and Frances Kincaid; and one brother, Ronald Lee Smith.
In addition to his parents, Arvil is preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Ray Smith; two sisters, Donna Carol Smith and Virginia Smith; and one brother, Everett Smith.
