William James Smallwood, son of the late William James and Peggy Ann Phillips Smallwood was born in Richmond, Kentucky on May 9, 1954 and departed this life at his home in Beattyville, Kentucky on October 13, 2023 at the age of 69 years, 5 months, and 4 days. He was a mechanic by trade and a member of the Queen of All Saints Catholic Church.
William is survived by his five children, Peggy Susann Brennan and husband Joseph, Theresa Marie William Smallwood, Wendi Lynn Smallwood all of Beattyville, James Walriven and Charles Wood both of Norwood, Ohio; four grandchildren, William Henry and Robert Charles Brennan, Logan Scott William Fox, and William Clayton Aristocles Smallwood; and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, William and Peggy, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Smallwood; his baby boy William James Smallwood III; and a sister, Donna Ann Hill.
