Wendell Brandenburg, son of the late Roscoe Raymond and Elma Noe Brandenburg was born in Campton, Kentucky on March 4, 1953 and departed this life in Beattyville, Kentucky on September 30, 2023 at the age of 70 years, 6 months, 26 days. He retired from Lion Apparel after 30 years of employment.
Wendell is survived by four nieces, Patricia Spencer, Jodi Coldiron, and Donna and Michelle Brandenburg; a nephew, Greg Brandenburg; two great nieces, Bethany Roberts and Brianna Sparks all of Beattyville; two great nephews, Josh Spencer of Richmond, Kentucky and Tony Hobbs of Campton, Kentucky; special great-great nieces and nephews, Addy, Henry, Harper, Owen, Pax, and Evie; and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Wendell was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ballard and Martha Brandenburg; maternal grandparents, Lottie and George Noe; brother and sister, Orville Brandenburg and Gracie Hobbs; niece and nephew, Peggy Hobbs and Clarence Hobbs, Jr.; and one great-great nephew, Carson Hobbs.
Pallbearers include Alan Coldiron, Jacob Sparks, Nick Roberts, Scotty Spicer, Dean Noe, Tony Hobbs, and Jason Noe.
