Condolence From: Darlene Longmire
Condolence: I can’t believe that Miss Dora is gone. She always seemed to always be around,-loving, helping others, serving God. I along with our family will miss her smile, hugs, and saying, “i love you, you know that dont you, Darlene”. Her joy in small things, loving to laugh, teasing in a gentle way will be remembered. Many trips working at her mission, personal trips just to visit, phone calls, her spending nights with us. A large part of our lives.

Condolence From: Phil Parrott, Bardstown, KY
Condolence: Ms. Dora is gone on ahead of us, but her memory will invoke smiles of remembrance for so many years to come. Charles will be a part of those memories along with the fella that got around on his riding lawnmower the first many years that we'd go up for mission work, (Walter??). Ms. Dora's family just naturally became a part of us whether we ever met them all or not. We mourn with you in her passing. My friend Greg and I were remembering this and that this morning at church and finally decided that we had been going up to the mission since 2009-10 or 11. It was still within her original home then. Only the kitchen and chapel room remain the same today.
At the closing of our service this morning in Bardstown, KY we sang a verse from the song, "Surely the Presence of the Lord is in This Place." It struck a cord within me as to how I felt being in Ms. Dora's company and moving about the mission.
SURELY THE PRESENCE OF THE LORD IS IN THIS PLACE

Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place
I can feel His mighty power and His grace
I can hear the brush of angel’s wings
I see glory on each face
Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place

I'm not going to be able to attend any part of Ms. Dora's Celebration of Life, but know that I will be thinking of everyone as the clock moves us forward through her services and beyond.
Blessings,
Phil Parrott
