Obituary for Gracie Charles Brandenburg
Gracie Charles Brandenburg, widow of Taylor B. Brandenburg and the daughter of the late Alred and Emma Moore Charles was born in Lee County, Kentucky on December 8, 1926 and departed this life at her home in Beattyville on December 5, 2019 at the age of 92 years, 11 months, and 28 days. She was a member of the Beattyville Church of Christ and a former nursing home nurse’s aid.
Gracie is survived by one son, James Taylor Brandenburg and wife Alberta; one daughter, Emma Sue Marshall and husband Everett all of Beattyville, Kentucky; a son-in-law, Carl Dean of Booneville, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Charles Taylor Marshall and wife Kassi of Hazard, Kentucky and James Scott Brandenburg of Beattyville; five great grandchildren, Adleigh Grace, Taylor Ford, and Kambria Elyse Marshall all of Hazard and Kaydence Taylor and Serenity Grace Brandenburg of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; two sisters, Mable Barrett and Edith Lamb and husband Glendon all of Waynesville, Ohio; and a very special friend, Sharon Mann of Beattyville.
In addition to her husband and parents, Gracie was preceded in death by one daughter, Darlene Dean; a granddaughter, Camellia Sue Dean; a brother, Willard Charles; and two sisters, Ercie Watkins and Alpha June Palmer.
Pallbearers include Charles Taylor Marshall, Taylor Ford Marshall, Everett Marshall, Carl Dean, James Scott Brandenburg, Sharon Mann, Glenn Kincaid, and Bob Green.
