Billy Paul Alexander
Billy Paul Alexander, 80 of Beattyville, KY died peacefully April 19, 2018 at his home. The fourth of eight children, he was born in Beattyville on September 13, 1937 to the late William (Bill) and Ica Alexander. He retired from Ashland Transportation after many years of loyal service. He began his Masonic career 43 years ago when he was raised into Proctor Lodge #213 of Beattyville. He was also a member of the Oleika Temple (Shriners) in Lexington, KY for 40 years. Billy Paul and his Connie Alexander were the owners of the Dinner Bell Restaurant in Somerset, KY from 2002-2007.
Billy Paul is survived by his wife of 52 years, Connie Lee Alexander of Beattyville; a son Mark W. Alexander and his wife Melissa Stringer Alexander; and their two children Emma and Karter. Billy Paul will be reunited with his son Tommy Paul Alexander who is the father of their eldest granddaughters, Cassaundra Arthur and Katherine Alexander. Billy Paul and Connie have one great grandchild, the daughter of Katherine, Madelyn Paige Roark. Billy Paul will also be reunited with his siblings Richard LeRoy Alexander, Sharon (Alexander) Mullins, and Betty (Alexander) Dowd. He is also survived by his siblings Wilma (Alexander) Leslie (Gerald), Lexington, KY; Elizabeth Sue (Alexander) McKinney (Jerry), Somerset, KY; Barbara Gayle (Alexander) Combs (Paul), Richmond, KY, and Robert (Bobby) Alexander (Vickie), West Liberty, KY.
