Obituary for Earnest Jewell

Earnest Jewell, husband of Dorothy Coomer Jewell and the son of the late Parnell and Margaret Brandenburg Jewell was born in Lee County, Kentucky on August 10, 1947 and departed this life at his home in Beattyville Kentucky on July 15, 2017 at the age of 69 years, 11 months, and 5 days. He was retired from Ferrell Gas Company as District Manager, a member of the Kentucky River Bass Masters, and a devoted member of the Community Christian Church.
In addition to his wife, Earnest is survived by eight children, David Jewell and wife Kim, Danny Jewell and wife Darlene, Daisy Jewell Johnson and husband Brian all of Beattyville, Kentucky, William Jewell and wife Jessie of Campton, Kentucky, Brittany Jewell and Cody of Somerset, Kentucky, Hunter Scott Hogan, Brayden Charles Jewell, and Kolton Blaze Jewell all of Beattyville, Kentucky; six grandchildren, David Scott Jewell and wife Caitlyn of Richmond, Kentucky, Gabrielle Elizabeth Osborne and husband Israel of Booneville, Kentucky, Cody Wayne Jewell and Paige, Christopher Ryan Jewell all of Beattyville, Kentucky, Brycin Dale Campbell, and Brooklyn Laura Campbell both of Somerset, Kentucky; three great grandchildren, Grayson Scott Jewell of Richmond, Kentucky, Elisha Ray Osborne, and Jacey Shae Mays both of Beattyville, Kentucky; one sister, Carolyn Little and husband Paul of Indiana; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Earnest is preceded in death by his parents; and one brother-in-law Paul Little.

Pallbearers include: John Begley, Coleman Taylor, Frank Kincaid, Hargis Griffith, Everett Lee Marshall, Andy Ross, James Ray Coomer, and Wayne Mosley.
