Obituary for Helen Vanderpool Rogers (Sizemore)

Helen Vanderpool Rogers (Sizemore), age 92, went to be with her Lord on March 13, 2017 at the Kenwood Health & Rehabilitation in Richmond, KY. She was born to the late William Harvey Sizemore and Lillie Holland Sizemore at Athol, KY. She was a member of the Church of God. She was a faithful, loving, and caring mother, grandmother, and great-great grandmother.
While in Lee County, she employed many jobs including the Kentucky Food Store as a sales clerk with the late Lafayette Murray family. Formerly of Lexington, KY, she retired from the University of Kentucky Student Center. She served the famous UK Wildcats basketball team and students with pleasure and privilege.
Helen is survived by her five children, Della Mitchell, of Richmond, Kentucky, Betty J. Farmer and husband Pryse of Cincinnati, Ohio, Bessie Carol Byrd and husband Edwin of Williamsburg, Ohio, Amos Vanderpool of Lexington, Kentucky, and Dixie Stamper of Beattyville, Kentucky; two brothers, Jim Sizemore of Springfield, Ohio and Gene Sizemore of Carlisle, Ohio; three sisters, Thelma Schwarz, Virginia Delong, and Brenda Patterson all of Springfield, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Helen is preceded in death by her parents; WWII Veteran husband, Delton Vanderpool and WWII Veteran husband, Elmer G. Rogers; two brothers, Henry Sizemore and Harvey Sizemore; two sisters, Hazel Sizemore and Florence Shoemaker; and Mattie, Miles, and Eugene Brandenburg family.
