Obituary for Betty Ruth Caldwell Hogan



Betty Ruth Caldwell Hogan, widow of Eugene Hogan and the daughter of the late Lemon and Pearl Gross Caldwell was born in Lee County, Kentucky on March 18, 1933 and departed this life in Lexington, Kentucky on November 2, 2016 at the age of 83 years, 7 months, and 15 days. She was a member of the Church of God, a homemaker, and a loving mother.
Betty is survived by thirteen children, Ruth Ann McIntosh and husband David Paul, Wilma Jean Dennis and husband Walter Clay all of Beattyville, Kentucky, David Hogan and wife Mary of Booneville, Kentucky, Danny Dale Hogan and wife Fondia of Beattyville, Eddie Dean Hogan and wife Myra of Hitchens, Kentucky, Joyce Mayse and husband Nelson of Smithfield, Kentucky, Pamela Jo Barrett and husband Larry, Donald Eugene Hogan, James Howard Hogan, Allen Hogan and wife Sandra, Gregory Scott Hogan and Terena McHatton, Joshua Hogan, and Elizabeth Denise Roach and husband James all of Beattyville; 37 Grandchildren, 67 Great Grandchildren, and 6 Great-Great Grandchildren; one brother, Freddy Caldwell and wife Linda; four sisters, Janis Cole, Sue Easterling, Judy Botts, and Wanda Caldwell; and several special caregivers.
In addition to her husband and parents, Betty is preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Lemon Caldwell, Jr., Lenox Caldwell, Dorothy Alsept, and Beulah, Peggy, Warren, and Willis Caldwell and a granddaughter Rebecca Jane Hogan.
