Dewey Fox, Jr., husband of Betty June Barrett Fox and the son of the late Dewey and Polly McIntosh Fox was born in Lee County, Kentucky on August 1, 1934 and departed this life in Lexington, Kentucky at the age of 81 years, 6 months, and 26 days. He served in the United States Air Force, worked as a Barber for over 40 years and was also as a farmer, and was a member of the St. Helens Masonic Lodge, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
In addition to his wife Betty, Dewey is survived by six children, Peggy Howard and husband Bill of Beattyville, Kentucky, Cindy Jones and husband TJ of Center Hill, Florida, Timothy Fox and wife Virginia of Beattyville, Thomas Fox of Leesburg, Florida, Sheila Fredrickson of Palm Bay, Florida, and Tony Fox and wife Tammy of Beattyville; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; two brothers, Larry Fox of Dayton, Ohio and Johnny Fox of Mason, Ohio; one sister, Dora Hacker of Morrow, Ohio; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Troy Lee Fox; two brothers, Eugene and Juilius Fox; and three sisters, Martha Dunaway, Flora Couch, and Jeanette Spicer.
