EVELYN PEARL CAYWOOD, the widow of Roy Caywood, and the daughter of the late Daley and Elizabeth Hill Crawford, was born in Beattyville, Kentucky on July 3, 1924 and departed this life in Winchester, Kentucky on September 30, 2022 at the age of 98 years, 2 months and 27 days. She was a homemaker and a member of the Coal Branch Baptist Church.
Mrs. Caywood is survived by six children, Francis Hagans of Hazard, Kentucky, Bernice Combs and husband Michael of Indianapolis, Indiana, Linda Bankston and husband Charles of Louisville, Kentucky, Pricey Caywood and wife Paulette of Winchester, Kentucky, Reva Higgins of Hazard, and Darriel Caywood and wife Judy of Winchester; two daughter in-laws Clara Caywood and Caroline Ann Caywood both of Winchester, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; her brother Paul Crawford of Beattyville; her three sisters, Roberta Grisby of Manchester, Kentucky and Mary Jett and Martha both of Greenville, Ohio; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Caywood was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Roy; sons, Herschel Caywood, Sr., Billy Hue Caywood and Roy Caywood, Jr; a daughter, Elizabeth Mae Rubin; and two son in-laws, Alvin Hagans and Mitchell Higgins.
