IDA VIRGINIA OAKS, the widow of Oral Oaks, and the daughter of the late Byron and Alma McGuire Kash, was born in St. Helens, Kentucky on March 5, 1925 and departed this life in Marietta, Georgia on June 6, 2011 at the age of 86 years, 3 months and 1 day. She was a former waitress and homemaker, and was a member of the Beattyville Christian Church.
Mrs. Oaks is survived by two grandchildren, Patrick Power of Alpharetta, Georgia and Megan Lambdin of Raleigh, North Carolina; two great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Oaks was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Oral; and her daughter, Sandra K. Power.
