James Earl Combs, the son of James Wallace Combs and wife Brenda of Beattyville, Kentucky and Kathy Derringer Sebastian and husband Chuck of Scottsburg, Indiana, was born in Seymour, Indiana on August 12, 1981 and departed this life in Lexington, Kentucky on June 13, 2020 at the age of 38 years, 10 months and 1 day. He was a former maintenance worker for the state of Texas and a member of the “Fullness of the Word” Church Mission where he spent his last years doing mission work and serving the Lord.
In addition to his parents, James is survived by three aunts, Janice Johnson of Austin, Indiana, Nancy Centers of Lexington, Kentucky, and Sandra Combs of Dallas, Texas; two uncles, Edward Burton Combs and George Lee Combs both of Lexington; and a host of other relatives and friends.
James was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Gladys Melton and Edward Comb; and his maternal grandmother, Mabel Derringer.
