Mary Elizabeth Fox McIntosh, widow of Clint McIntosh and the daughter of the late Branham Tan and Mary Holloway Fox was born in Lee County, Kentucky on October 9, 1920 and departed this life in Richmond, Kentucky on March 3, 2020 at the age of 99 years, 4 months, and 23 days. Mary was a long-time devoted member of the Pine Crest First Church of God. She loved the Lord and her family and enjoyed spending her time gardening, quilting, doing yard work, and sewing.
She is survived by her five children, Rhoda McLemore of Austin, Indiana, Helen Wilds and husband Bill, Opal Newman, Evelyn McIntosh, and Judy Shouse and husband Larry all of Beattyville, Kentucky; 16 grandchildren, Russell McIntosh, Ritchie McIntosh, Mary Crystal McIntosh, Rhonda Dehart, Darrell McLemore, Deanna Wicker, Tina Blaylock, Leslie Lee Combs, Jr., Pamela Sue Combs, Sandra Kaye Hardy, Kimberly Maria Newman, Charles Douglas Newman, Roy Lee Centers, Olivia Cheryl Centers Creech, Scott Shouse, and Debbie Vires; 30+ great grandchildren; 26+ great-great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. A special thanks to Olivia, Hospice Compassionate Care Center, and her special caregiver, Evelyn McIntosh.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by one son, Rouster McIntosh; a granddaughter, Janet Phillips; several brothers and sisters; and two sons-in-law, Douglas Newman and James McLemore.
