Obituary for Wandalou Perkins

Wandalou Perkins, 92, a long time resident of Beattyville passed away Saturday, February 15, 2020, at the home of her son.

Wandalou was born in Dunkirk, IN, and moved to Beattyville in 1998, with her husband, Harley, who passed in 2006. She loved Beattyville and all her many friends here. In 2014 she moved to Layton, UT.

She was an accomplished artist and won many awards for her oil paintings. She also taught oil painting to interested friends in Beattyville. She also liked to do crossword puzzles, word searches, play board games, and watch game shows, especially Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.

Wandalou is survived by her son Paul (Cindy), Layton, UT; four grandchildren, Sarah (James) Williamson of Herriman, Andrew (Alexandra) Perkins, Salem, OR; T. Caleb Perkins (Lauren), and Luke (Andrea) Perkins, both of Layton, UT. She adored her eleven great-grandchildren. Jackson, Paul, Alanna, and Blaze Williamson; Peter, Cache, Max, Presley, Charles, Bode, and Rose Perkins. She is also survived by a niece, Sue (Ken) Howard, Albuquerque, NM. Besides her husband, Harley, her grandson, Paul Perkins, Jr. preceded her in death.

Wandalou was a lifelong faithful Christian and attended The Church of the Living God. We’re sure she’s rejoicing with those who have gone before. “Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord…(Revelation 14:13).”

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 29, at the Newnam Funeral Home in Beattyville with Pastor Elmer Mays officiating. Friends may call from 11:00 until 1:00 p.m.
