Obituary for Sylvia Jean Jackson (Davidson)

Sylvia Jean Jackson, the widow of the late Charley Jackson was born in Lee County, Kentucky on August 14, 1928 and departed this life at the Marcum & Wallace Hospital in Irvine, Kentucky on October 14, 2019 at the age of 91 years and 2 months. Jean was a well-known cook for many years at several places in Lee County including the Purple Cow Restaurant and the preschool. She was also a member of the Lee County Church of Christ.
Sylvia is survived by four sons, John M. Cook an wife Mary of Booneville, Berry Jackson, Scott Jackson and Kaye, and Robert Jackson; a daughter-in-law, Marsha Cook all of Beattyville; three granddaughters, Crystal Cook of London, Amanda Cromer and husband Hank of Mt. Vernon, and Jessica O’Brien and husband Tyler of Richmond; one grandson, Kyle Cook of Beattyville; two great grandsons, Parker and Aiden; three great granddaughters, Olivia, Sarah, and Lauren; and a special little boy, Dylan Rice.
She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Joe Davidson and Mertie Coomer Davidson; one son, Larry Joe Cook; five brothers; and one sister.

Pallbearers include Sam Watterson, Matt Watterson, Dylan Rice, Kyle Cook, Hank Cromer, and Tyler O'Brien.
Honorary Pallbearers include Charlie Sawyer, Henry Caudill, Charles Cooper, Jeff Grimms, Bob Bogenschuz, Matt Olinger, and Augustus Wise.
