Allen Thacker, widower of Wanda Loe Stamper Thacker and the son of the late Rufus and Beartie Newton Thacker was born in Lee County, Kentucky on March 17, 1938 and departed this life in Beattyville, Kentucky on October 15, 2019 at the age of 81 years, 6 months, and 29 days. He worked as a Foreman in Concrete Construction and was a member of the Beattyville First Church of God.
Allen is survived by three children, Tresa Bowman and husband Robbie, Tiffany Ratliff and husband Jonathan, and Allen Thacker, Jr. and girlfriend Amanda all of Beattyville, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Jordan Bowman and wife Tracey, Noah and Nicholas Bowman, Peri Thacker, and Alethia, Persephone, and Antigone Ratliff; four sisters, Leona Thacker, Mable Kramp, Helen Morris, and Lucy Barrett all of Beattyville; one brother, Kenneth Thacker of Richmond, Indiana; and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, Allen was preceded in death by four brothers, Hershel, Vernon, Rufus Jr., and Paul Glenn Thacker; and one sister, Ila Estes.
