Obituary for Phillip Gregory Charles
PHILLIP GREGORY CHARLES, the husband of Vicky Lynn Dickerson Charles of Beattyville, Kentucky, and the son of Mary Jo Hughes of Winchester, Kentucky and Phillip Charles of Beattyville, was born in Lexington, Kentucky on September 15, 1967 and departed this life at his home in Beattyville on September 30, 2019 at the age of 52 years and 15 days. He was the owner and a heavy equipment operator for Greg Charles and Sons Logging, loved bluegrass music and was a member of the Standing Rock Church of Christ.
In addition to his wife Vicky, Greg is survived by his two sons, Chad Charles and wife Courtney, and Dalton Tyler Charles and Chantel all of Beattyville; his beautiful granddaughter, Catherine Lynn Dawn Charles; his mother, Mary Jo Gentry and husband Gary of Winchester, Kentucky; his father, Phillip Charles and wife Marcy of Beattyville; his sister, Amy Charles Harris and husband Jim of China Grove, North Carolina; his two brothers, Jonathan Charles and wife Amber, and Christopher Charles and wife Sara all of Winchester; his mother and father in-law, Nola and Zenith Dickerson of Beattyville; his brother in-law Nicky Dickerson and wife Becky of Beattyville; three step sisters, Cheryl Frye of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, Laura Gentry of Hillsboro, Kentucky and Christy Eberhand of Winchester; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Greg was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joyce Napier and Jack Hughes; and his paternal grandparents, Willie and Dora Charles.
