Obituary for John Henry Coomer

JOHN HENRY COOMER, the husband of Darlene Dean Coomer of Beattyville, Kentucky, and the son of the late Ulmer and Spicie Dunaway Coomer, was born in Oneida, Kentucky on June 17, 1953 and departed this life in Richmond, Kentucky on April 23, 2019 at the age of 65 years, 10 months and 6 days. He was a Lee County ambulance driver for 16 years, a correctional officer for Lee Adjustment Center for 22 years and a member of the Lee County Saddle Club.
In addition to his wife Darlene, John Henry is survived by four children, Tressie Coomer, Carrie Dunahoo and husband James, Henrietta Cornett and Renee Coomer all of Beattyville; three grandchildren, Jacob Cornett, Lois Dunahoo and William Goosey all of Beattyville; a sister, Mildred Hobbs of Lexington, Kentucky; a niece, Janet Moon of Lexington; a nephew, Buzz Anthony Hobbs of Lexington; two brothers in-law, Ken and Art Dean both of Booneville, Kentucky; a sister in-law, Marlene Thacker of Booneville; and a host of other relatives and friends.
John Henry was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Mike Coomer.
