Obituary for Modenna Reece Stamper Turner

Modenna Reece Stamper Turner, widow of Odell Stamper and Arthur Turner and the daughter of the late George and Roxie Estes Reece was born May 8, 1934 and departed this life at her home in Beattyville, Kentucky on April, 17, 2019 at the age of 84 years, 11 months, and 9 days. She was a homemaker and a member of the Cressmont Baptist Church.
She is survived by three sons, George Stamper and wife Helen of Winchester, Kentucky, Chester Stamper of Beattyville, Kentucky, and Homer Stamper and wife Melissa of Frankfort, Kentucky; one daughter, Reva Rogers and husband Bo Beattyville, Kentucky; a daughter-in-law, Anita Stamper also of Beattyville, Kentucky; one step son, Roger Turner and wife Melissa of Beattyville, Kentucky; three step daughters, Joyce Thomas and husband Tony of Irvine, Kentucky, Fay Cockerham and husband Don also of Irvine, Kentucky, and Brenda Dale of Paris, Kentucky; three sisters, Gladys Allen and Deloris Rosale both of Lake City, Florida, and Becky Hunley of Cidney, Ohio; one brother, George Reece, Jr. of Beattyville; and a host of several grandchildren, step grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-step grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and a multitude of friends.
In addition to her two husbands and her parents, Modenna was preceded in death by one daughter, Francis Stamper; one son, Johnny Stamper; one grandson, James Odell Stamper; three brothers, Walter Reece of Independence, Kentucky, James Reece of Hebron, Kentucky, and Ernest Reece of Yellow Rock, Kentucky; four sisters, Bernice Mays of Irvine, Kentucky, Shirley Cummins of Berry, Kentucky, Ramey Sparks of Beattyville, Kentucky, and Glendean Tirey of Winchester, Kentucky.
