Jacqueline “Jackie” Adkins Smallwood, wife of Gary Smallwood of Beattyville, Kentucky and the daughter of Grovie Lee Phillips Adkins and the late Andrew Butler “Jack” Adkins was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on March 18, 1962 and departed this life at her home in Beattyville on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at the age of 57 years and 30 days. She was a member of the Hilltop Baptist Church and attended the Bear Track Bible Church. Jackie was a former waitress at Bobcat Restaurant, assistant manager of Shell Mart, as well as an employee of Lee County Care and Rehabilitation.
In addition to her husband and mother, Jackie is survived by one daughter, Laura Lee Smallwood; one grandson, Colton Wayne Cole; two sisters, Pauline McKinney and husband Fuzzy and Tammy Adkins; her mother-in-law Loren Goe; eleven sisters of the heart, Brenda Adkins, Debbie Dunaway and husband Tracy, Evelyn Newton, Fran Smallwood and husband Gregie, Janice Thomas and husband Mutt, Jean Ann Smallwood, Judy Wathen and husband Paul Wayne, Susie Goe and husband Joe, Teresa Noe an husband Drexel, Tiny Powell and husband Chuck, and Sister Alice; one brother of the heart, William Owens and wife Dawn; 19 nieces and nephews, Melvin Jr., Chrissy, Justin, Hopie, Amanda, Jennifer, Ashley, Buddy, Josh, Katie, Caytlin Grace, Jamie, Ray, Crystal, Joyce Ann, Jessie Paul, Christopher, Benji, and Matthew; six special great nieces and nephews, Jacob, Michaela, Jack, Cayden, Jayce, and Harper; and several great nieces and nephews.
Jackie is preceded in death by her father, Jack; her father-in-law Paul Smallwood; four nieces OR nephews, as well as nieces and nephews, Quinton, Gary Wayne, Jessica, and Amy; maternal grandparents, Lottie and Millard Phillips; and paternal grandparents, Melvin and Ola Adkins.
