Michael G. Kelso, husband of Janice Sue Roach Kelso and the son of the late Stanley and Laverne Dunagin Watkins was born in Lee County, Kentucky on May 12, 1946 and departed this life in at his home in Beattyville, Kentucky on February 2, 2019 at the age of 72 years, 8 months, and 21 days. He was a retired small engine mechanic and a member of Sandfill Holiness Church where he was also the assistant pastor.
In addition to his wife, Mike is survived by four children, Michael Kelso of Clay City, Kentucky, Jeffery Kelso and wife Ruth of Fairfield, Ohio, Joann Kelso of Cleveland, Tennessee, and Kevin Phillips and wife Melinda of Beattyville, Kentucky; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Teresa Watkins of Jacksonville, Florida; two nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
