Loretta Gilbert Barker, widow of James Ray Barker and the daughter of the late Wythe Boyd and Nannie Bowman Gilbert was born in Beattyville, Kentucky on August 16, 1932 and departed this life in Richmond, Kentucky on January 9, 2019 at the age of 86 years, 4 months, and 24 days. She was a homemaker and a member of the Hopewell First Church of God.
Loretta is survived by one son, David R. Barker and wife Canza, one grandson, Brenton James Barker, two step grandsons, Ronald Dyllon Neal and Joshua David Neal all of Richmond, Kentucky; one sister, Freida Jent of Hindman, Kentucky; two sisters-in-law, Della Jean Barker of Beattyville, Kentucky and Carlie Barker of Lancaster, Kentucky; one brother-in-law, Donald Kincaid of Beattyville; and many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
