James Edward Ross, husband of Jimmie Dale Stapleton Ross of Beattyville, Kentucky and the son of the late Charlie and Susie Ross was born in Lee County, Kentucky on August 23, 1932 and departed this life in Richmond, Kentucky on August 15, 2018 at the age of 85 years, 11 months and 23 days. He was an oil field worker for Ashland Oil for 25 years, a member of Masonic Lodge #711 F&AM (Torrent) and loved to fish.
In addition to his wife, Jimmie, James is survived by one son, Anthony Ross and wife Ethel of Beattyville, Kentucky; one daughter, Linda Snowden of Beattyville, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Megan and Eric Ross; two great grandchildren, Bentley and Brayden Ross; one sister, Wanda Seale of Booneville, Kentucky; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Charles Edward Ross, two brothers, Thomas and Linville Ross; and one sister, Gracie Durbin.
