Francis Ruth Cole Raines, widow of Orval Raines and the daughter of the late Pryse and Mae Allen Cole was born in Lee County, Kentucky on October 13, 1930 and departed this life in Beattyville, Kentucky on February 3, 2018 at the age of 87 years, 3 month, and 21 days.
She is survived by six children, Phyllis Townsend of Irvine, Kentucky, Shirley McIntosh, Opal Davidson, and Vernon Raines all of Beattyville, Kentucky, James Raines of Richmond, Indiana, and Margaret McIntosh of Beattyville, Kentucky; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; seven brothers and sisters, Ralph Cole of Clarksville, Ohio, Lonnie Cole of West Union, Ohio, Denville Cole of Butlerville, Ohio, Harold Cole of Venlear, Tennessee, Betty Stuart of Scottsburg, Indiana, Dottie Wheeler, of Lexington, Kentucky, and Catherine Cole of Lexington, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Francis is preceded in death by her husband; parents; two sons, Orval Leon and Ernie Raines; and one daughter, Drucilla McKinney.
