Jesse Land, Sr. husband of Margaret E. Goosey Land and the son of the late James Monroe and Georgia Coomer Land was born in Lee County, Kentucky on December 9, 1938 and departed this life in Lexington, Kentucky on January 29, 2018 at the age of 79 years, 1 month, and 20 days. Jesse was a loving husband to Margaret for over 57 years. He was a devoted member of the Delvinta Church of Christ and also a Mason, Shriner, and a member of the Jaycees.
In addition to his wife, Jesse is survived by two sons, Jesse Land II and wife Paula and David Land all of Beattyville, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Robie S. Land and wife Betsy, Tommy S. Land and wife Carolyn, Casey S. Bales and husband Cody all of Lexington, Kentucky, Emily R. Land, Natalie T. Land, and Hallie A. Land all of Beattyville, Kentucky; three great grandchildren, Julia, Belle, and Liberty; two brothers; 7 sisters; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and two sisters.
