Douglas Thornsbury, husband of Debra Thornsbury and the son of the late Elisha and Juanita Powers Thornsbury was born in Wayland, Kentucky on November 14, 1952 and departed this life at his home in Beattyville, Kentucky on November 18, 2017 at the age of 65 years and 4 days. He was a former coal miner.
In addition to his wife, Douglas is survived by one daughter, Leona Reese and husband Thomas of Beattyville, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Kayla Avery and husband Scott and Brandy Lynn VanHoose; three great grandchildren, Vayne “Monkey” Avery, Gabriella Avery, and Logan James Douglas VanHoose; seven brothers and sisters, Georgia Gibson, David Thornsbury, Joseph Thornsbury, Madonna Moore, Katrina Skags, Serena Anderson, and Disie Thornsbury.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Mary Jo Coyle; and one brother, Phillip Thornsbury.
