Obituary for Myrtle Lorene Brandenburg

Myrtle Lorene Brandenburg, wife of J.B. Brandenburg, was born to the late Herbert and Bessie Flinchum Cole in Irvine, Kentucky on June 22, 1928 and departed this life in Irvine, Kentucky on October 24, 2017 at the age of 89 years, 4 months and 2 days. She attended the Heavenly Missions Church.
She is survived by two children, Wallace Mays and wife Janet and Ina Jewell and husband Ralph all of Beattyville, Kentucky; 8 grandchildren, Glen Mays, Ronald Mays and wife Essie, Chasity Fox and husband Ben, Nathaniel Marshall and wife Allie all of Beattyville, Sara Marshall of Clay City, Kentucky, Hobert Bradley Brandenburg, William Scott Brandenburg and wife Kim all of Beattyville, and Elizabeth Brandenburg and Cordell of Florida; 15 great grandchildren, Tyler, Tucker, and Madeline Fox, Derek Mays, Deangel Grace, and John Taylor Napier, Jennifer Mays and husband Brandon, Chance, Nathaniel, and Adam Marshall, Lorena Thomas and husband Adam, Joseph Shelton, Isabella and Hannah Brandenburg, and Bentley Cowdrey; and two great-great grandchildren, Landyn Shelton and Adalynn Renee Thomas; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Myrtle is preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Otis, Willie, Roscoe, and Orville Cole; four sisters, Edith Cole Townsend, Ila Cole Gross, Ivory Cole Webb, and Ercie Cole Faulkner; two sons, Hobert and Herman Brandenburg; and one granddaughter, Tammy Renee Napier.
