Obituary for Howard Dean

Howard Dean, son of the late Irvine and Emily Hensley Dean was born in Harlan, Kentucky on January 24, 1952 and departed this life in Jackson, Kentucky on October 8, 2017 at the age of 65 years, 8 months and 14 days. He was a coal miner and a member of the Praise and Worship Center.
Howard is survived by two children, Lucinda Dean of Booneville, Kentucky and Robin Vaughn and husband Bill of Pennington Gap, Virginia; six grandchildren, Cory Morrison of Booneville, Kentucky, Jeremiah Morrison of Kingsport, Tennessee, Samantha Scalf and husband Thomas of Woodway, Virginia, Santana Oaks and husband Joe of Keokee, Virginia, Shonda Crabtree and husband Rodney of Jonesville, Virginia, and Billy Vaughn III of Pennington Gap, Virginia; three great grandchildren, Joseph and Adelynn Oaks and Bentlee Joe Crabtree; one step grandson, Tyler Money of Richmond, Kentucky; six sisters, Martha Dean of Tucson, Arizona, Gertrude Farmer of Hebron, Indiana, Bernice Hicks of Middletown, Ohio, Elizabeth Roberts and husband Clarence of Booneville, Kentucky, Iva Howard and husband Rick of Scottsville, Kentucky, and Shirley Cox and husband Willie of Dayton, Ohio; one brother, William Dean and wife Audrey of Farmersville, Ohio; one aunt, Shirley Means and husband Dick of Hamilton, Ohio; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Charles Dean and Jack Douglas Dean; and one sister, Jenny Dean.

Pallbearers include: Cory Morrison, Jeremiah Morrison, Billy Vaughn III, Johnathan Marshall, Douglas Roberts, Tyler Roberts, Joshua Robinson, and Tyler Money.

Honorary Pallbearers include: Thomas Scalf, Joe Oaks, Rodney Crabtree, Doug Roberts, and Eddie Roberts.
