Billy Gene Flinchum, husband of Lois Jean Newton Flinchum of Beattyville, Kentucky and the son of the late Floyd and Roxie Gross Flinchum, was born in Lee County, Kentucky on February 3, 1946 and departed this life in Lexington, Kentucky on August 26, 2017 at the age of 71 years, 6 months and 23 days. He retired from working in the oil fields as a well puller and pumper and was also a member of the Beattyville Christian Center.
In addition to his wife, Billy is survived by four children, Billy Flinchum, Jr. and fiancé Heidi Thomas of Beattyville, Kentucky, Nancy Reece and Robert Jones of Richmond, Kentucky, Michael, and Regina both of Beattyville; six grandchildren, Shanna Newton of Beattyville, Whitley Lyons and husband Tanner of North Carolina, Blake Flinchum, Hunter Flinchum, and Cody Flinchum, and Michael Gentry all of Beattyville; one great grandchild, Wyatt Lyons of North Carolina; two brothers, Charles and Dennis Flinchum of Beattyville; one sister, Patty Perdue of Beattyville; and a host of Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Billy is preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Gary Flinchum.
