Obituary for Jimmy Charles Mays

Jimmy Charles Mays, son of Flora Mae Oaks and the late Shelby Mays, was born in Campton, Kentucky and departed this life at his home in Beattyville, Kentucky on April 29, 2017 at the age of 61 years, 2 months, and 12 days.
He is survived by one daughter, Bobbi Sue Smith and husband Joseph; one granddaughter, Shelby Lynn Smith all of Beattyville; his mother, Flora Mae Oaks of Richmond, Kentucky; five brothers and sisters, Kathy Faye Vires of Beattyville, Thomas Edward “Tommy” Mays, William Raymond “Billy” Mays both of Richmond, Kentucky, Dorothy Denise Mays of Beattyville, Kentucky, and Debra Ann Reese of McKee, Kentucky; many special nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to his father, Jimmy is preceded in death by one sister, Tamara Sue Mays; and his grandparents, Sherman and Dorothy Johnson.
