Joyce Fox Charles, wife of Clyde Charles and daughter of the late Ed and Mary Hollaway Fox was born in Lee County, Kentucky on September 30, 1934 and departed this life in Lexington, Kentucky on March 17, 2017 at the age of 82 years, 5 months, and 10 days. Joyce was a member of the Beattyville First Church of God, loved flowers, canning, and her family and kids.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Dudley Charles and wife Mamie, Danny Charles and wife Judy, Deborah Ann Cole and husband David all of Beattyville, Kentucky, and Carolyn Sue McIntosh and husband John Wayne of Booneville, Kentucky; one sister, Mary Elizabeth McIntosh of Beattyville; nine grandchildren, Brian Wilson, Karen Wallace, Jeremy Scott Charles, Heather Nicole Howard, Chad Daniel Charles, Karry Lynn Pelfrey, Samantha Lynn Cole, Rachel Leann Cole, and Anita Marie Cole; 7 Great Grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents and several brothers.
