Obituary for Jean Ann Tirey Peters

Jean Ann Tirey Peters, the wife of Denvard Peters of Beattyville, Kentucky and the daughter of the late Fred P. Tirey, Jr. and Geneva Brandenburg Tirey, was born in Beattyville, Kentucky on December 2, 1948 and departed this life in Lexington, Kentucky on March 12, 2017 at the age of 68 years, 3 months and 10 days. She was a member of the Queen of All Saints Catholic Church, named a Kentucky Colonel, was a former Chairman of Lee County Democratic Party, a member of the Lee County Jail Board and worked as an investigator for the Kentucky Labor Cabinet.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Scott Peters (Jennifer); one granddaughter, Lauren Peters; three sisters, Letha Wilder, Debra Combs and husband Phillip all of Beattyville, and Mildred Assanubat and husband Sam of Florence, Kentucky; nieces and nephews, Tara Barker, Ashley Assanubat, Alicia Riley and husband Jason, Shanna Combs Johnson and husband Trevor, Sean Assanubat, and Emileigh Warner; one special cousin, Tim Tirey; and a host of other relatives and friends.
