America Doyle Browning, 89, of Beattyville, Kentucky, was granted her angel wings on January 13, 2017.
A loving mother and grandmother, America was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. She spent many years managing the local café at Jack’s IGA with her daughter Fonda and enjoyed reading, fishing, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends. She was also an Honorary Member of the Paralyzed Vets of America as well as a Lifetime Charter Member of Tribute to a Generation National World War II Memorial.
America is survived by her five daughters & spouses, Fern, Rhodena (Vernon), Fonda (Jack), Ann (Bert), Elizabeth (Jeff); 20 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and the rest of her relatives and friends.
America is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, husband Benjamin Browning, and son Richard Browning.
