Ralph Tirey, husband of Alma Rose Horn Tirey and the son of the late Silas and Viola Newton Tirey was born in Lee County, Kentucky on November 2, 1945 and departed this life at his home in Lee County, Kentucky on December 10, 2016 at the age of 71 years, 1 month, and 8 days. Ralph was a retired Superintendent for Hanson Rock Quarry and enjoyed spending time hunting, fishing, and playing pool.
In addition to his wife, Alma, Ralph is survived by three children, Billy Joe Tirey, Eddie Ray Tirey, and Ralph Michael Tirey all of Beattyville; seven grandchildren, Joseph Ryan Tirey, Amber Nashea Hayes both of Beattyville, Adam Scott Tirey of Berea, Kentucky, Miranda Rose Tirey of Richmond, Kentucky, Brittany Rose Tirey of Beattyville, Cody Michael Tirey of Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, and Byron Nicholas Tirey of Lexington, Kentucky; seven great grandchildren; four brothers, Charles Tirey of Winchester, Kentucky, Russell Tirey of Cincinnati, Ohio, Douglas Tirey of Ohio, and James Ovie Tirey of Michigan; two half-brothers; five half-sisters; and a host of other relatives and friends.
