Nora Mae Stamper Lockard, daughter of the late Robert and Katherine Wade Stamper was born in Beattyville, Kentucky on October 30, 1923 and departed this life in Richmond, Kentucky on December 3, 2016 at the age of 93 years, 1 month, and 3 days. Nora was a member of the Church of Christ at Union, Kentucky.
She is survived by one daughter, Leone Cole; one granddaughter, Katrina Ackerman and husband Fred all of Beattyville, Kentucky; four great grandchildren, Kristopher Boyd of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, Katherine Ackerman, Michael Ackerman, and Zachary Ackerman; one sister, Judy Cundiff and husband Ted; one brother, Bill Stamper and wife Betty; two nieces, Elizabeth Cundiff and Karen Reams and husband Ryan; one nephew, Michael Stamper and wife Lisa; one sister-in-law, Rachel Stamper; and one niece-in-law, Patty Stamper, all of Beattyville, Kentucky.
In addition to her parents, Nora is preceded in death by one brother, Shelby Stamper; one nephew, Shelby Stamper, Jr.; one great nephew, Austin Stamper; and one son-in-law, Paul Cole.
