Niva Jean Range Griffith, loving wife of Rufus Griffith for 44 years and the daughter of the late Charles Ernest and Eldena Greene Range was born in Jamestown, Tennessee on January 30, 1951 and departed this life in Beattyville on November 18, 2016 at the age of 65 years, 10 months, and 19 days. Niva was a member of the Crestmont Baptist Church, a homemaker, and a loving mother to all. She enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing, and watching UK Basketball.
In addition to her husband, Rufus, Niva is survived by two children, James Rufus Griffith and wife Brittany and Charles Curtis Griffith and wife Maggie, all of Beattyville; six grandchildren, Charlie, Braden, Braxton, and Jaden Griffith, Larry Dwayne and Kayla Renee; two brothers, Johnny Range of Beattyville and Melvin Range of Jamestown, Tennessee; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
