Helen Reece Mays, widow of Gilmer Mays and the daughter of the late Andrew and Margaret (Peggy) Caudill Reece, was born in Kodak, Kentucky on December 19, 1927 and departed this life in Middletown, Ohio on October 29, 2016 at the age of 88 years, 10 months and 10 days.
She is survived by one son, Reginald “Reggie” Mays of Hamilton, Ohio; one niece, Sharon Trent; and one great nephew, Jordan Shepherd, both of Hazard, Kentucky.
In addition to her husband and parents, Helen is preceded in death by one daughter, Jamie Lynn of Hamilton, Ohio; two brothers, Everet Reece of Hazard, Kentucky and Ernest Reece of Loveland, Ohio; and one sister, Flossy of Kodak, Kentucky.
