Obituary for Sharon Watterson Jackson

Sharon Watterson Jackson, wife of Berry Jackson and the daughter of the late William (Junior) Kilburn and Lois McIntosh Kilburn, was born in Oneida, Kentucky on January 16, 1950 and departed this life in Lee County on Friday, May 1, 2015 at the age of 65 years, 3 months, and 15 days. She was the Lee County Trial Commissioner of the 23rd Judicial District, Lee County Solid Waste Coordinator, Administrative Assistant of the Lee County Fiscal Court, Chairman of ASAP, EMT unit 451, retired Drug and Alcohol Counselor for KRCC, a former employee Records Clerk for US Corrections and CCA, and Finance Officer for 13 ½ years with the Lee County Fiscal Court under former County Judge Doug Brandenburg. She was a graduate of Clinton Massie High School and had a BA degree and Master’s Degree from Eastern Kentucky University.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Sam Watterson and wife Emmy of Corbin, Kentucky and Matthew Watterson and wife Jami of Beattyville; three grandchildren, Natalie Watterson, James Watterson, and Zachary Watterson; two step grandchildren, Shane Hurst and Shawna Hurst; two aunts, Ena Fay McIntosh and Versie McIntosh both of Beattyville; one uncle, Elbert McIntosh of Knoxville, Tennessee; cousins, Susan Arnold of Wolfe County, Mike McIntosh and Karen McIntosh both of Tennessee, and Brenda Theile of Ohio; and a host of many other relatives and friends.
