Carlie Madge Kendrick Mays, widow of Wilgus Mays and the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Flannery Kendrick, was born in Lee County, Kentucky on February 22, 1921 and departed this life in Beattyville, Kentucky on May 8, 2014 at the age of 93 years, 2 months, and 16 days.
Madge is survived by one son, Kenneth Mays and wife Elizabeth of Beattyville, Kentucky; one daughter, Jackie Bowling and husband Brown of Morningview, Kentucky; one brother, Arch Kendrick of Wilmore, Kentucky; 6 granddaughters, Ambera Wethington, Brittany Roberts, Brittget Gilbert Brewer, Carlie Brewer, McKayla Brewer, and Taylor Brewer; and 2 great grandsons, Camden Wethington and Waylon Alex Roberts; and a host of other relatives and friends.
