Luther Rose Jr., 81, of Beattyville, Kentucky the husband of Sarah Stamper Rose, died Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at his home.
He was born on July 6, 1932 in Breathitt County, KY to the late Luther P. and Lula Young Rose. He worked for many years at the shoe factory in Beattyville where he retired as a supervisor. He was also a member of the Southside Church of Christ.
In addition to his wife Sarah he is survived by two sons: William Rose of Manchester, KY and Ben Rose of Richmond, KY; four daughters; Cathy Wigger, Donna Caves, and Shirley Raines all of Richmond, IN and Mae Agler of Eldorado, OH, Daniel Rose of Beattyville, KY and Amy Karr, of Frankfort, KY; 21 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, 4 sisters and his first wife Lucille Rose.
