Clifford Rex Gilbert, husband of Celerina Caballero Abelgas Gilbert and the son of the late Wythe and Nannie Bowman Gilbert, was born in Lee County, Kentucky on November 3, 1951 and departed this life in Jackson, Kentucky on May 19, 2013 at the age of 61 years, 6 months and 6 days. He attended the Pentecostal Church and worked for many years as a Foreman paving roads.
He is survived by one daughter, Reziel Perkins and husband Josh of Richmond, Kentucky; two sons, James Gilbert and Lucio Boyd “LB” Gilbert, both of Beattyville, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Chelsea Gilbert and Virginia Gilbert, both of Louisville, Kentucky; three sisters, Loretta Barker of Richmond, Kentucky, Mary Joyce Kincaid of Beattyville, Kentucky, and Freida Gilbert of Lexington, Kentucky; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Gilbert was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Fredrick Allen Gilbert and Timothy Gilbert; one brother, Clyde Gilbert; and three sisters, Yvonne Tackett, Janice Gayle Miracle, and Betty Whisman.
