Obituary for Herbert H. Phillips

Herbert H.  Phillips
HERBERT H. PHILLIPS, the widower of Joanne Massey Phillips, and the son of the late Thomas and Lena Hambrick Phillips, was born in Lee County, Kentucky on February 23, 1929 and departed this life at his home in Lee County, on August 30, 2012 at the age of 83 years, 6 months and 7 days. He was an Army veteran, a retired steel factory machinist, and a member of the Pentecostal church.
Mr. Phillips is survived by two sons, James Edward Phillips and Herbert Phillips, Jr. both of Beattyville, Kentucky; five daughters, Brenda Phillips, Bonnie Phillips, Cindy Evans and husband Kendall, Janie Phillips and Karen Phillips all of Beattyville; two sisters, Floretta Thorpe of Irvine, Kentucky and Margaret Faye Bagford of Springfield, Ohio; three brothers, Gerald Phillips of Lexington, Kentucky, Larry Phillips and Gordon Phillips both of Beattyville; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Phillips is preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Lillie Mae Phillips Wilson; two sisters, Mildred Botner and Linda Goble; and three brothers, Donald, Marvin and Charles Phillips.
